Blowing up the silence with a keyboard: the case of Julian Assange

Abstract:

Julian Assange, the editor in chief of Wikileaks, caused shock and awe to the government headquarters worldwide, revealing a seemingly endless series of classified documents and records of American government agencies. Moreover, his name features on Interpol´s list of wanted criminals next to the names of serial killers, terrorists and kidnappers: Assange was wanted as a suspect of rape and recently arrested, but the British courts decided his release on bail of two hundred thousand pounds (200.000 £) until his extradition (or not) to Sweden.
