Abstract: The present article stresses the significance of emotions in the historical-political phenomenon and social movements. After a brief historical reference to the place of the emotional parameter in modern sciences and philosophy (18th-20th century), the novel current shift at the cognitive sector in question is outlined. The emergence of the new social movements is presented as an inseparable from emotion topic and as an occasion for the phenomenon’s integration into the wider frame of the post-modern social world.
